To consider Christmas Proposal It was proposed to do Random Acts of Kindness again this Christmas at an estimated cost £1,190 for 100 residents, which would include a gift Bags with items such as chocolate, warm fleece, hot chocolate etc Amendment proposal to give out Gift Vouchers instead of Gift Bags. Recorded vote for amendment In favour Cllrs H. Burn, C. Smith, D. Leppington, D. Bullcock and N. Grant Against Cllrs B. White, T. White, J, White and K. Elbourne Abstention Cllr A Hyde. With 5 votes to 4 the amendment was carried. It was proposed to fund a Father Christmas at the More Than Book Christmas Event at a cost of £500 plus bags Recorded votes in favour Cllrs T. White, N. Grant, A. Hyde, J. White, D, Leppington, K. Elbourne and B White. Against Cllrs D. Bullock, H. Burn and C. Smith With 7 votes to 1 the proposal is passed |

Clerk Update and Correspondance
The clerk also updated members on the following: High Street planters - there are sizeable issue with the electrics. The Councillors wanted assurance that when the works are done, and will not affect Christmas Play Park survey was due to start on the 8th September till the 2nd November Still no update on the High Street CCTV The Council now have permission to site a Noticeboard on the High Street The Clerk is completing ILCA training |

To consider request from NYC to purchase a Christmas Tree on the High Street It was RESOLVED to approve the purchase of a Christmas Tree for the High Street planter, providing the work to the planters does not affect the siting of the tree, in which case the Council will not be responsible for any costs. |
